Row Nova Scotia developing, promoting and growing the sport of rowing in Nova Scotia
The Ice Breaker Regatta is an annual regatta hosted by Row Nova Scotia on Lake Banook and Lake Mic Mac in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. This regatta is a head race format that has athletes complete a 4.3km loop of the two lakes. This regatta aligns with the Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model outlined by Rowing Canada Aviron that has athletes competing at long distances early in the season. The Ice Breaker is open to Novice, Under 17, Under 19, Under 23, Senior, Masters and Para athletes.
Ice Breaker will be hosted on May 30, 2026.
