LYC Coastal Rowing Tour

LYC Rowing is looking forward to hosting you on one or more of it’s 1-day Coastal Rowing Tours.

​Enjoy rowing the beautiful islands and historic waterways of Mahone Bay, while experiencing the unique UNESCO World Heritage town of Lunenburg and surrounding area. Hosted by Lunenburg Yacht Club Rowing, with support from Row NS, each of the 3, 1-day Coastal Rowing Tours will let participants explore different areas of Mahone Bay – from the scenic islands, to the coastal inlets, to the famous Three Churches in the town of Mahone Bay! Tour 2 – Saturday, August 23, 2025
Launching from LYC, we’ll row down along the eastern shoreline of 2nd Peninsula, stopping for a break at Backman’s beach. We will then continue around the tip of the Peninsula stopping for lunch on Heckman’s Island. If weather, time and tides allow, we will row through the islands of ‘Back Harbour’ before returning back to LYC. Distance approximately 18-20 km.
