Row Nova Scotia recently attended the 2019 Support4Sport Awards hosted by Sport Nova Scotia to celebrate the outstanding achievements of the very best athletes, coaches, officials, sponsors and volunteers from across the province. These individuals represent the best of amateur sport, not only by virtue of their athletic achievement but also through their dedication and commitment to sport. These nominees are judged against the best athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers and organizations from across all the sports in the province to determine overall finalists and winners. This year marked an incredible achievement by Row NS as three rowers were selected as overall sport finalists – Pat Cody (Coach of the Year), Claire Ellison (Junior Female Athlete), and Andrew Todd (Senior Male Athlete) and Andrew Todd was selected as the overall winner in the Senior Male Athlete category!

Male Junior Athlete of the Year: Emerson Crick – Halifax Rowing Club
Female Junior Athlete of the Year: Claire Ellison – Halifax Rowing Club – overall finalist
Male Senior Athlete of the Year: Andrew Todd – North Star Rowing Club – overall winner
Female Senior Athlete of the Year: Jenna Pelham – North Star Rowing Club
Coach of the Year: Patrick Cody – Row Nova Scotia – overall finalist
Official of the Year: Marilyn MacMullin
Volunteer of the Year: Brian Robinson – Halifax Rowing Club
