DESCRIPTION:LYC Rowing is looking forward to hosting you on one or more of it’s 1-day Coastal Rowing Tours. \n​Enjoy rowing the beautiful islands and historic waterways of Mahone Bay\, while experiencing the unique UNESCO World Heritage town of Lunenburg and surrounding area. Hosted by Lunenburg Yacht Club Rowing\, with support from Row NS\, each of the 3\, 1-day Coastal Rowing Tours will let participants explore different areas of Mahone Bay – from the scenic islands\, to the coastal inlets\, to the famous Three Churches in the town of Mahone Bay! Sign up today! \nTour 3 – Saturday\, September 20\, 2025\nLaunching from LYC\, we’ll row around Coveys Island\, across to Andrews Island and then head into Mahone Harbour\, towards the town of Mahone Bay. After a stop for lunch at Mahone Bay’s public wharfs\, we will row back out of the harbour\, taking time to look at Strum Island and the Westhaver Island Lighthouse. From there we will return to LYC. If weather\, time and tides allow\, we will row into Smelt Cove\, under the bridge and back up along Herman’s Island to the Club. Distance approximately 16-18 km.
