SUMMARY:Learn to Row Coach Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Row NS is hosting a Learn to Row (LTR) Coach workshop on Saturday\, May 4th on zoom. \nThe course schedule is as follows: \n\n12:00pm – 5:00pm – Coursework via zoom\n5:00pm – 6:00pm – Break\n6:00pm – 9:00pm – Coursework via zoom\n\nThis workshop is the entry into the RCA coach development pathway and is geared toward people interested in coaching learn to row lessons at clubs. The workshop content is intended to provide the coach with knowledge\, skills and abilities to instruct learn to row sessions with beginners. \nThe cost of the LTR Coach Workshop is $50 per person\, paid by e-transfer to the email rowing@rowns.ca prior to the start of the workshop using the password “rowing”. All registration can be completed using your NCCP and The Locker. If you do not have an NCCP number you must create an account to register. \nAll participants in the LTR Coach Workshop must have the following prior to the workshop: \n\nPleasure Craft Operator’s Card (PCOC)\nMaking Ethical Decisions module – you can register for this course through Coaching Nova Scotia\nNCCP Coach Initiation in Sport – an online module developed by the CAC and available through the Locker\nRCA Rowing Essentials – An online module that is available through The Locker\n\nRegistration for this event can be completed through the Locker here: Learn to Row Coach Workshop Registration

SUMMARY:Ice Breaker Regatta
DESCRIPTION:The Ice Breaker Regatta is an annual regatta hosted by Row Nova Scotia on Lake Banook and Lake Mic Mac in Dartmouth\, Nova Scotia. This regatta is a head race format that has athletes complete a 4.3km loop of the two lakes. This regatta aligns with the Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model outlined by Rowing Canada Aviron that has athletes competing at long distances early in the season.
